I have over 19 years experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Georgia in various settings: private practice, psychiatric hospitals, residential treatment centers, domestic violence shelters, juvenile justice and forensic facilities and child advocacy centers. Partnering with local law enforcement agencies and district attorneys, I was qualified as an expert witness in trauma and abuse in several metro Atlanta counties and conducted over 300 forensic interviews. I served over 10 years as a governor-appointed Executive Board Member on the State of Georgia Sexual Offender Registration Review Board (SORRB) and am a published author on a variety of mental health topics. I taught psychology at the undergraduate level and conducted workshops on relationship issues, parenting skills, stress management and mandated child abuse reporting.
I received my BA from Emory University and both my M.Ed and Ed.S from the University of Florida. I have worked in the mental health field for over 25 years-19 years as a licensed professional counselor. I am also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) candidate. I am a registered out-of-state telehealth provider for the state of Florida (TPMC4).
I help countless people "figure it out". Whether you struggle with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationships or other issues, you are the expert of your life. Together we will strive to change a situation that no longer works so you can live your best life.
I look forward to speaking with you!
